Woman Wednesday: Danie Proby
The ultimate community is great because not only do you have instant friends in any city you visit, but these teammates are also amazing people from so many walks of life. In this case, the ultimate community brought me to Israel where I met this week’s #WomanWednesday, who lives in Canada. Ah the world shrinks. She is the co-founder of Elevate Academy, a business out of Vancouver that provides elementary to high school students an opportunity to work on their ultimate skills with coaches. Before you had to wait until the sport was in season and a team available to you. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

“What makes me strong? That’s tough…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve made some dumb choices. A lot of them. So many that have lead me to professional/financial insecurity and to big bumps in my personal life. Even though I know my decisions aren’t taking the traditional path to success, they are still my decisions, and I love them. They have made me who I am today and I think I am pretty neat. Without the guts to follow my heart, I would not have found myself where I am today. I didn’t take the easy route but the ride has been a blast and I have a life that feels like a dream.
Take a risk. Be uncomfortable. Make mistakes. Learn. Grow. Rinse. Repeat. That’s strength in action.”
